Publicly Traded Stock -
The best stocks to donate are those that have increased
greatly in value, particularly those producing a low yield. If
you have an account administered by a brokerage firm, please
call fr Jude Siciliano, OP (917-656-4767) for instruction on how
to transfer your shares.
Real Estate - If you own property that is fully
paid off and has appreciated in value, an outright gift may be
the simplest solution. You can deduct the fair market value of
your gift, avoid all capital gains taxes and remove that asset
from your taxable estate. You can also donate your personal
residence and retain the right to live in your home for the rest
of your life (lives). Please contact Fr. Jude (cf. Above)
Matching Gifts - Many employers sponsor
matching gift programs and will match any charitable
contributions made by their employees. Some companies match
gifts made by retirees and/or spouses. If your company has a
matching gift program, request a matching gift form from your
employer, and send it completed and signed with your gift to:

Bequests, small and large are important to the work of the
Dominicans. Let us help you realize your devotion to the Order’s
mission. Learn how to name the Order as a beneficiary of your
will or trust, and find out how retirement plans such as IRAs
make the most highly tax-efficient bequest to the Order.
Members of our Order are available by phone and email to discuss
your plans, and should you wish to restrict the purpose of your
gift, we can provide sample language for you and your attorney
